HOW NURTURE THE NEXT GENERATION GOT STARTED!

STORY OLAIS AND ARCHBOLD
Olais and Archbold grew up in two different villages, Olais grew up in a Maasai culture, where large-scale pastoralism was his life. Archbold grew up in a Chagga culture, where he experienced the life of small-scale farming and livestock keeping.
They both experienced the sense of not having proper clothes and nice shoes for schooling, several times they went to bed without having dinner, when they got sick, their parents would treat them with herbal medication because they could not afford hospital costs. They both went to public schools where the quality of provision of education is very low due to lack of enough teaching and learning materials.

FIRST MEETING AND STRATEGY BUILDING
Olais and Archbold are both teachers by profession, they first met in 2009 when they were working as primary school teachers in one of the schools in Tanzanian villages. They became friends and discovered that they had the same vision for the future Tanzanian children.
They would always talk about their passion for the kids and how they really wanted to reach the needy families and the kids in public schools to help them get good quality education and other basic needs. They came up with a number of strategies, one of the strategies was to establish a non-governmental organization which will be a platform to support the needy families and school children especially in peripheral areas.

OBTAINING LEGAL REGISTRATION
In January 2020, their dream became true by getting a legal registration that allows their NGO to conduct the activities within the Tanzanian mainland. Since the registration, Olais and Archbold have been seeking partners who can fund the activities they need to implement in support of poor families, school kids and teachers in peripheral areas. They want to advocate for kids to be taken to school at the right age, train teachers for better teaching methods and reach families with basic need such as provision of water and good shelter.
Right now, Olais has his experience in child care and community development, while Archbold has his experience in teacher training and school administration.

STRUGGLE FOR A BETTER FUTURE FOR THE NEXT GENERATION
Olais and Archbold say: “We will use our experience effectively to perform the above. We are confident that the next generation will live a better life experience than what we experienced during our time of childhood, which the kids in peripheral areas are still experiencing now. We will fight for their right to good quality education, seek for ways to help them overcome the challenges they are going through, and create ways for them to get their basic needs. Please join us as we fight for the better future of next generation."
