VIEW FROM THE PRESIDENT OF NEXT GENERATION INVESTMENT, INC.

Of course, I am rather biased! As you know from the NGI mission and vision description, my sister Mary and I came up with the idea for a non-profit to support the delivery of quality education in rural areas where there is great need for support. As we did our research, we recognize and want to support other non-profit organizations (NGOs) that also deliver support in this space: groups that do wonderful activities such as build schools, provide books and other classroom supplies, or advocate with school systems to enhance the educational content. What we saw was missing was HOW: How is that content delivered in oftentimes very challenging situations? So NGI focuses on helping enhance the HOW of delivering educational content to better serve students as they move through their educational journey.

Our Educational Experts have taken a proven model and adapt it to teacher training that is specific to the unique issues facing a particular set of schools/teachers. The focus is on the teacher – who is the primary deliverer of the content. So the delivery of every teacher training will be bespoke to the specific challenges of that group of teachers.

And our PILOT PROGRAM of teacher training is planned for this July, 2022 in Arusha, Tanzania to support teachers from the Monduli school district! The delivery of this Pilot Program is in conjunction with our on-the-ground partner NGO, Nurture the Next Generation. We are raising money NOW to:

  • Provide bespoke teacher training that helps teachers in this district deploy pedagogical techniques that will work in their classrooms;

  • IMPACT the quality of the learning of the students through these techniques;

  • ASSESS the impact of the teacher training over time; and,

  • Understand and assess the delivery and receipt of the program to CONTINUOUSLY IMPROVE our methodology .

We need your help today

To help us reach our FUNDRAISING GOAL of $20,000. This funding will:

  • Send 3 Educators from NGI to deliver and assess the impact of the Pilot Program;

  • Send up to 38 Monduli District Teachers and Administrators to a 2 day training in Arusha;

  • Provide all the resources and materials to deliver the training as well as materials to leave behind to continue the use of the techniques; and,

  • Cover the costs of the training for all those involved.
